Our association

Object

In practice, the Association Luxembourgeoise pour la Liberté d'Instruction (ALLI) :

  1. informs you about family education and your related rights,
  2. enables families who choose alternative schooling outside school to meet and talk to each other,
  3. defends the right to democratic education,
  4. promotes the development of alternative educational initiatives with government and political bodies.

Its activities have evolved over time in response to changing needs, and the amendment of the purpose of the Articles of Association will be on the agenda of the next Annual General Meeting for 2023, scheduled for 3 March 2024.

Governance

ALLI asbl operates in a sociocratic manner to encourage the autonomy and intrinsic motivation of its participating members.

In accordance with its articles of association, the association pursues its activities with strict ideological, political and religious independence.

Day-to-day management decisions are taken on a collegiate basis, and until now by consensus, by the 6 active members appointed at the last General Meeting and declared in the register of beneficial owners filed with the LBR (Luxembourg Business Register).

Internal rules and the budget are discussed and approved at annual general meetings. Other operating procedures are set out in our Articles of Association.

Confidentiality

ALLI asbl is committed to ensuring that your personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, ("GDPR").

In practice, the confidentiality of private emails is respected by the management committee. These emails are also deleted on request and regularly, at least twice a year.

Newsletters are sent anonymously to anyone who has contacted us. All you have to do to be removed from the mailing list is reply "UNSUBSCRIBE" to our emails.

ALLI asbl was created in January 2013 and publishes an annual report on its activities and observations relating to respect for freedom of instruction.
